Info on Coronavirus (COVID-19) for Visitors

Meow Wolf Las Vegas' new exhibition, Omega Mart at AREA15, will be open for timed ticketing by advance reservation.

In accordance with state mandates, Meow Wolf Santa Fe will remain closed until further notice.


We are closely monitoring state and federal government policy changes, Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, government mandates, and public health advancements. We pledge to meet or exceed all mandates and will continue to make changes to our plans as necessary. All decisions about implementing these plans will be made in collaboration with local health officials and other state and local authorities.

Our Health and Safety Protocols  

The following is a summary of our plan to keep our guests, employees, and our community safe.

Ticket Purchase

Guests are encouraged to purchase tickets online prior to arrival. Time slots are available every 20 minutes. We encourage you to attend only with your quaranteam. Guests will receive pre-visit information about virtual queuing, health screenings, social distancing, and other safety practices as part of the purchasing process.

Guests who purchase tickets in person will be informed of social distancing and other safety practices as part of the in person purchase process. Groups will be spaced 6 feet apart and health and safety standards will be displayed in the queue area.

Health Check

At the entrance there will be non-invasive temperature checks. Anyone displaying a temperature over 100.4°F (38°C) will not be allowed entry. We are happy to refund or reschedule you for a later date at no additional cost.

In Las Vegas, the AREA15 point of entry will be limited to allow non-invasive temperature checks utilizing thermal cameras.  Anyone displaying a temperature over 100.4°F will be taken to a private area for a secondary temporal temperature screening. Guests confirmed to have a temperature over 100.4°F and their entire group will not be allowed entry to the property and will be directed towards appropriate medical care (urgent care or hospital recommendations should be on hand).

*Note: If you or anyone in your household has experienced any of the following symptoms in the last 14 days, please contact us to reschedule your reservation. Symptoms include: fever, persistent dry cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, or other symptoms associated with COVID-19.

Wear a Mask

For your safety and ours, we will require all guests to wear masks when visiting all Meow Wolf locations. Masks must cover nose and mouth, and be worn the entire time you are inside. This applies to everyone, including guests, staff, and vendors.

Clean your hands

Hand sanitizer dispensers, touchless where possible, will be available at high contact areas throughout the exhibit, and we encourage you to use them frequently. Disposable gloves are available and optional.

Keep your Distance

Per local and state-mandated occupancy limits, exhibit capacity will be significantly reduced to allow for maximum physical distancing among guests.

We ask guests to practice social distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups or employees. Employees are trained to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from guests and other employees and plexiglass barriers will be installed wherever possible (i.e. cashier stations at retail store, cashier stations within Omega Mart, box office window, etc.).


Heightened Sanitation

In addition to our regular high standards of sanitation, we are greatly increasing the frequency and intensity of our cleaning protocols. Guest and employee safety is of the utmost importance so we’re ensuring that all possible precautions are being taken.

Cleaning Products

Meow Wolf uses cleaning products and protocols which meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2 and are approved for use and effective against viruses, bacteria, and other airborne and bloodborne pathogens. Our janitorial team disinfects the entire building multiple times a day, including the art experience, lobby, gift shop, bathrooms and staff break rooms. Staff also continuously sanitize high-touch surfaces such as countertops, handrails, door knobs, buttons, crawling areas, etc. Gift shop and box office countertops and equipment are sanitized after every transaction.


Air Upgrades

Our HVAC systems have been upgraded with MERV13 filters, and the fans run continuously. We have increased the fresh air exchange.

Employee Training

Employees have received comprehensive COVID-19 safety and sanitation training to ensure they understand and feel confident managing the physical distancing and hygiene aspects of their roles.

Employee Health and Hygiene

The importance of our employee’s well being is paramount. We have updated our policies to make sure employees are encouraged to stay home and/or seek medical treatment if they aren’t feeling well.

Employees will receive daily temperature checks. Employees confirmed to have a temperature over 100.4°F (38°C) will not be allowed entry to the property and will be directed towards appropriate medical care.

Employees will be coached on proper protocols such as not touching their faces and employees will receive additional training on proper hand washing techniques.

Appropriate PPE will be worn by all employees based on their role and responsibilities and in adherence to state or local regulations and guidance.
