Barrio Lindo or Agustín Rivaldo was born in 1987 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the age of 22 he moved to Colombia and lived 3 years in Bogota, where he learned deeply about rhythms, traditional music and culture. This time in Colombia was the principal influence for him to start producing electronic folklore, with a lot of presence of South-american rhythms. Since being a young kid he was in love with ethnical cultures and music and his major musical influences come from different records that he heard over the course of many years, especially folklore from Argentina, Brasil, Bolivia, Colombia.

Barrio Lindo is the other side of Agustín Rivaldo, well-know for his work as musical instruments builder. His formation as luthier was in a particular curiosity about ancestral instruments over the world and folkloric stringed instruments. A big part of his work is recorded with his hand made instruments.

“Music is the greatest mystery in the world. The whole manifestation is made of vibrations, and vibrations contain all its secrets.” – Hazrat Inayat Khan

Uji (Luis Maurette) is an electronic producer and musician born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A nomad since the age of two, Maurette has lived throughout the American continent in Ecuador, Chile, Mexico, USA and Argentina. Uji’s music is meant for the dance floor, and has roots in indigenous, folkloric and African music and borrows from the aesthetics and sound design of electronic music. His fascination with sound and electronic music brought him to Berklee School of Music where he delved into synthesis, programming and sound design. In parallel he immersed himself in ritual music, which led him into the mountains and jungles to participate in indigenous ceremonies and songs, to make field recordings of the birds and rivers, to learn rhythms and dances, to discover ancient practices and to listen to the ancestral voice of nature. Uji’s music is the alchemical ritual of merging these seemingly opposite worlds of the ancient and the modern.

He is half of the pioneering duo Lulacruza since its inception in 2005, with whom he has released 5 albums, a feature film and visual album by director Vincent Moon, as well as a remix series by a worldwide mix of producers. Lulacruza boldly embraces the intersection of electronic and folk music, forming part of the South American new folklore movement. Lulacruza has been released by labels such as ZZK Records (Argentina), Jumpsuit Records (USA), Acqua Records (Arg), Black Swan Sounds (USA), Club del Disco (Arg), Frente Bolivarista (Brazil), and Fertil Discos (Arg). Their raw transformative performances have taken them to perform in festivals and concert halls in over a dozen countries, including places as diverse as USA, Germany, Indonesia, Australia, Costa Rica, Colombia, Hungary, Spain and more.

Uji’s debut track, a highly acclaimed remix of Ecuadorian artist Mateo Kingman, was recently released with AYA Records. His upcoming releases include the single Romper el Hechizo, featuring Argentine trio Fémina coming out on Mexican boutique label Shika Shika, along with remixes by El Buho, and Barrio Lindo among others.

Erin E brings an ear for unique sounds to her energetic and genre-bending dj sets. Integrating global gems with sometimes heavy, sometimes heavenly beats and bass, she strips back dance music to something we all can relate to. Constantly searching for the essence of the sound – be it deep techno, dub techno, house or beyond- she cultivates a bassy dancefloor experience that transcends stereotype.

She is currently working on an ongoing series of place-based mixes, created and performed in wild spaces alone or with a very small crew of intimate listeners.

Playing & sampling her original live native american flute, didjeridoo, shakers and myriad of trinkets, she sneaks authentic sound into unexpected places.

Based in Santa Fe, NM, Erin E brings not only beats – but a free coffee & tea stand – to Northern New Mexican community electronic events. She loves, above all, creating the space for a transformative, positive experience….through music and hot tea.
