Meow Wolf’s Halloween Night party. Featuring the incomparable afro-psych cult, The Golden Dawn Arkestra. This year’s Halloween party will feature performers throughout House of Eternal Return,  a costume contest, and a $500 prize plus trophy for the winner! See you on the dance satellite, space cadets!! It’s our biggest Halloween yet!

The Golden Dawn Arkestra is an avant-garde collective combining deep grooves and cinematic textures. Adorned in shimmering regal robes remeniscent of intergalactic kingdoms of yore and featuring cosmic go-go dancers, The Golden Dawn Arkestra will keep your body moving on the dance floor while raising your consciousness past the outer most reaches of the cosmos. Come and join our journey….

Zapot Mgwana was born in Washington DC, he never knew his father but his mother, who worked for the Ethiopian Embassy, always told him Herman Poole Blount (Sun Ra) was his father. When Mgwana was nine they moved to Nigeria where he spent most of his formative years. He recently returned to the states and formed The Golden Dawn Arkestra.

Partizani Brass Band

Partizani brings the New Orleans second line spirit to everything, with a little dose of crazy Balkan Roma as well.  A huge 10 piece double extra plus brass and drum sound with dancers and stilters helps to achieve our vision of punching little tiny holes in the band/human barrier.  Forget the circus, run away with the band.

Saxes and Trumpets and Trombones, oh my.  Getcher flashback on from an old school marching Bass Drum.  Add in one of the few remaining free-range Sousaphones in the west and you’ll see how Partizani brings that incomparable big horn Second Line sound of strictly sustainable Human Powered music.  And if that wasn’t enough: the dancing Brassy Babes & even a stilt walker or two makes sure the show ain’t just live, but lively. Forget the circus – come join the Parti! This kind of fun needs no further amplification.
