We’re artists who love working with other artists.

Collaboration inspires creativity. We believe successful collaborations are based on continually pushing one another to be better, to be weirder and to take risks.  We strive to foster relationships far into the future.

Who do we collaborate with?

We work with everyone! Meow Wolf wants to connect with the best creatives across every medium and throughout the world, while also offering our exhibitions as a platform for regional, DIY, or emerging artists across the country.

We’re especially interested in prioritizing artists and narratives from underrepresented and underserved communities, including emerging artists, DIY makers, women, people of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, seniors, and people with disabilities. Diversity of expression is essential for the success of our exhibitions.

How do we collaborate?

From long term sponsorship relationships to short term projects — as a creative company we desire to always be expanding and building our network of collaborators. An emphasis in all of our exhibitions is on working with folks from the local community; bolstering the stories of creatives who have deep histories and contexts in their city.

A good example is our Denver exhibit, where we’re working with 110  Colorado-based collaborators. As we grow, we intend to continue supporting local economies by working with artists in each location.

We form relationships thoughtfully and thoroughly and support artists by providing them a large platform through our exhibitions and other projects, fair compensation, and the opportunity for further collaboration with our team.

Meow Wolf Artists

Outside of the 250 artists we employ full time creating new exhibitions together, there are a handful of Santa Fe based artists who we support to pursue their unique individual aesthetics. From the afro-futurist illustrations of Janell Langford’s Obsidiopolis, to the fantastic, dreamy universe of Nico Salazar’s Future Fantasy Delight, these artists represent our vision of promoting radical imagination across the world. Other all-stars in our cohort are Carlos Medina and Mikey Rae with Legit Concerns. Our goal is forming similar relationships with artists in each new market we enter to support local creative economies and offer a platform for spreading the work we love.

What is the DIY Fund?

Are you part of a DIY community or small scale art collective? Our DIY Fund is an annual fund created to support the DIY Community, artist collectives and non-conforming art spaces nationwide. It is a competitive process that requires an application, and is open to non-profit organizations, businesses and other entities who have established a community in their local arts scene.

To date, we have awarded more than $375,000 in funding to support more than 250 DIY spaces across the country. Funding can be used for rent, infrastructure, programming, safety improvements, or for whatever you may need. Visit our DIY Fund webpage for more information on how to apply.
