Meow Wolf's fourth permanent exhibition will feature nearly 40 collaborating artists, with 30+ artists based in Texas.
Our fourth permanent installation, set to open in Grapevine, Texas in 2023, will be the perfect blend of imagination, creativity and previously unknown realities thanks to nearly 40 extremely talented artists, with 30+ based in Texas.
There will be 30 rooms—along with select sculptures and dioramas within the 29,000 sq. ft. space—dedicated to Meow Wolf artists, Texas-based artists, and other collaborating artists. In these spaces, the artists will be able to create and experiment with their unique visions as part of the broader exhibition experience.
“Our goal with curating collaborating artists is to engage in a meaningful dialogue with the artistic voices of Texas, with a focus on North Texas, home to our newest exhibit. To accomplish this, we intentionally invited a diverse array of nearly 40 hyper-talented Texas artists to freely create works about any topic of their desire,” said Han Santana-Sayles, Director of Artist Collaboration.
“At Meow Wolf, we opt to tell stories about our world and worlds beyond through nuanced, timeless science fiction, and I hope the guests will take the time to explore this cohort of artists along with the deeper meaning behind the work that they have created with us.”
Of the collaborating artists, over 30 are local to Texas, including Dan Lam, a Dallas artist well known for her bright, psychedelic, drippy sculptures, as well as UT Arlington professor and sculptor Yana Payusova, and Dallas-based artist Sergio Garcia.
