Our Vegas location isn't open...YET, but that doesn't mean we haven't been busy in the Entertainment Capital of the World!

It’s been awhile since our last update on the progress of Meow Wolf Las Vegas, but believe us when we say it’s because we’ve been busy making sure it’s going to knock your socks off! We've been known to do that.

In addition to working on our next permanent installation, we’ve also been spending time having conversations with the community we’re going to call home, taking in the Vegas culture, and learning about our co-tenants in AREA15.

Come check out what we’ve been up to...

Community Conversations

On Oct. 10, 2019, we were joined by artists and Las Vegas community members at the Barrick Museum of Art to have an informal conversation about the opportunities and challenges faced by the local arts community. Meow Wolf was able to educate participants on the upcoming installation at AREA15 through the leadership of Fawn Douglas and Monera Mason, both UNLV alumni who are heading Meow Wolf Las Vegas’ Community Outreach efforts.

Las Vegas Pride

The year 2019 was big for Meow Wolf when it came to Pride and celebrating LBTQIA+ lives. We hosted our first official Pride After Party, and we were able to participate in Las Vegas Pride in 2019 as sponsors!

Dam Short Film Festival

In early 2020, we were able to work with Tsvetelina Stefanova, executive director of the Dam Short Film Festival, in order to highlight Boulder City’s Boulder Theatre and DSFF, one of the country’s most unique film festivals. Check out what Stefanova had to say in this article written by local Vegas writer Krista Diamond.

What is AREA15?

You may have heard of AREA15, and you may have heard of Meow Wolf, but did you know that Meow Wolf will just be one tenant among a number of immersive attractions in AREA15? Meow Wolf Las Vegas will anchor AREA15 — a retail and entertainment complex — but our interactive art installation will exist alongside curated retail, virtual reality, and dining options!

When Will Meow Wolf Las Vegas Open?

Oh, so you may be wondering when Meow Wolf Las Vegas is going to open. If you’ve made it this far in the article, your reward is the knowledge that our second permanent installation will officially be opening in Fall 2020! Here’s what people have been saying...
