For years now, you’ve been asking, “What the hell is AREA15?”
You’re not the first to ask and surely won’t be the last, but let’s settle this once and for all.
Government building? You can’t see us, but we’re lol’ing.
Empty warehouse? Still cold, but getting warmer.
Convention center? Only if it’s a convention for the best kind of weirdos.
Seriously, though, it’s kind of a hard question to answer, because it’s not like anything else.
Imagine a mall where every store is a different Meow Wolf adjacent)experiential entertainment space. That’s AREA15
If Omega Mart isn’t enticing enough on its own, you definitely won’t want to miss the other cool shit you’ll find here. Here are some of the best things to see at AREA15:
Experiential art has always been our jam. So when we heard the folks at AREA15 Las Vegas were creating an entire 200,000 square foot art conglomerate, we just about lost our minds. Here’s what to know about Omega Mart and friends in the immersive art world of AREA15.
Step into a supermarket where the mundane meets the mystical. Omega Mart is Meow Wolf’s flagship Las Vegas experience – a surreal shopping trip that spirals into an alternate dimension of conspiracies, portals, and… sentient produce? Created by over 300 collaborating artists, our 52,000-square-foot installation is a labyrinth of interactive storytelling that’ll have your mind feeling extra bendy.
From the mind of Chris Wink, co-founder of Blue Man Group, comes Wink World—a psychedelic funhouse of mirrored infinity rooms (if that’s your thing), neon lights, and kinetic art. It's a 360-degree sensory overload that’s almost too much to perceive.
Honestly? It’s what it sounds like. The Dopeameme Institute (courtesy of the designer toy brand Superplastic) is an interactive journey designed to trigger straight up joy. You’ll act as a test subject inspired by their viral animated universe, jumping from spontaneous dance parties to physical and social challenges evocative of your favorite 90s slumber parties.
Still wondering what to do at AREA15? If intellectual puzzles and games are more your speed, check out these tech-forward experiences.
This ain’t your everyday flight simulator, y’all. If you’re tired of arcade joysticks and flying in video games where you need to simultaneously shoot something, Birdly offers a new take on the skyward perspective. Strap in and flap to your heart’s content in this full-body flight simulator. It’s a bird’s eye view of brilliant cityscapes, prehistoric ranges, and everything in between.
As if a metroplex of immersive art wasn’t enough, AREA15’s Particle Quest will show you a world inside a world. That is to say, you don some dope VR glasses and discover hidden art, puzzles, and secrets behind the scenes.
With a tagline like “find your balls”, it’s sure to be a good time. But thanks to its unique and accessible combo of high-tech golf simulators, actual golf pros, and a full bar, you’ll definitely find a fun night ahead at Five Iron.
Whether you’re channeling your favorite lumberjack or a star-slinging superhero, grab your axes and head down to a throwing lane with up to five friends. The only thing better than axe-throwing is axe-throwing with blacklights and bottle service: Cosmic Axes happens every Friday and Saturday night.
Whether you’re looking for a social outing or a relaxing recharge, these AREA15 attractions will get you there.
Ascend 130 feet above Vegas on a panoramic ride. Imbibe in a proper toast with 360 degree views of the Strip and enjoy a gentle descent, day or night. This is a slow ride, not a thrill ride, but you’ll need to wear appropriate footwear and leave your carry-on items at the bottom of LIFTOFF.
Hidden within Omega Mart lies Datamosh, our top-secret bar serving up exceptional cocktails and handcrafted beverages. It's an intimate retreat for those who seek the extraordinary. It’s open daily during exhibition hours—if you can find it.
Step into a cinematic experience that transports you to otherworldly environments. Illuminarium uses cutting-edge projection and sound technology to immerse you in everything from African safaris to deep space odysseys. The latest addition is Amplified, “a 50-minute journey through the dynamic world of rock music.”
There’s so much to explore at AREA15, but our arms are exhausted from flapping around at Birdly and it’s time to grab a refreshing beverage at the Datamosh bar. In the meantime, spend a few hours with our “helpful” Omega Mart grocery clerks, then spend some time exploring AREA15.
If you’re looking to make a day of it, consider booking tickets online ahead of time for all the experiences you want to do. Same-day tickets sell out early!
How much time do you need at AREA15?
Plan for at least 2–4 hours. Between immersive AREA15 attractions like Omega Mart, VR rides, live performances, and cocktail lounges that double as art installations, it’s a choose-your-own-adventure that can stretch into an all-day affair. If you’re doing more than one attraction (and you should), we’d advise blocking off the whole afternoon.
What not to miss in Vegas?
Don’t miss AREA15 Las Vegas, especially Omega Mart (if we do say so ourselves). Vegas is full of glitter, but AREA15 is where the surreal lives—think mind-melting art, cosmic cocktails, and literal gravity-defying experiences. For something truly unforgettable, wander into Omega Mart and see what’s lurking behind the freezer aisle.
What is the difference between AREA15 and Omega Mart?
AREA15 is the district; Omega Mart is an attraction inside it. AREA15 is a massive (200,000 sq. ft.) immersive entertainment complex, while Omega Mart is Meow Wolf’s exhibit inside—a cosmic grocery store that unravels into an epic sci-fi mystery. You can visit AREA15 without entering Omega Mart, but why would you?
What's inside AREA15?
Art, tech, food, vibes—plus a few portals to other dimensions. Inside AREA15 you’ll find immersive art, VR rides, escape rooms, bars, restaurants, and the wildly surreal Omega Mart. It’s like a futuristic funhouse for adults (kids are welcome, too - just check the website for attraction-specific guidance).
