Between food-filled festivals, holiday-themed events, and, of course, Grapefest 2025, you’ve got plenty of fall fun to choose from. Here’s what we’re most looking forward to in Grapevine this fall.
Calling all pickle lovers! Don’t miss Grand Prairie’s free Pickle Fest. This Grapevine fall event features more than 80 pickle-centric vendors serving up everything from pickle snowcones to pickleball gear. There will be live music, kids activities, a petting zoo, and more. Find it on September 6th at Grand Prairie City Hall.
Take a short drive to Plano for the Water Lantern Festival on September 6th. It’s a chance for the whole community to come together for a night of love, enchantment, and reflection. Personalize your lantern, then release it into the water and watch it illuminate the night. You’ll also find food trucks, live music, and local vendors.
Grapefest’s 2025 event takes over Historic Main Street this September for the 39th annual festival. The largest wine festival in the Southwest features wines from around the world, with a special focus on Texas’s best wine. Enjoy 4 days full of exciting events, including the GrapeStomp, GrapeFest Pickleball & Tennis Classic, ItalianCarFest, and, of course, plenty of wine.
When you’re not sipping on pinots and stomping on grapes, check out Grapefest 2025’s live entertainment, including a Taylor Swift tribute band, carnival games, food, Grapevine art, and so much more. You can even participate in the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic and be one of the select few to decide which wine reigns supreme.
Grapefest’s 2025 event runs September 11th through 14th, with special events and entertainment daily.
Another unforgettable event in nearby Plano, the Plano Balloon Festival will be held September 18th through 21st. The 2025 festival marks 46 years of ballooning in Collin County with a truly unique 4-day event. In addition to morning and evening hot air balloon releases, you’ll find sky divers, food, kids’ activities, handmade goods, and more.
Nash Farm’s 25th Annual Fall Round-Up returns October 11th. Celebrate the season at a historic, late-19th century farm with farm animals, chuck wagon demonstrations, a cake walk, and so much more. Attendees are invited to enter handmade goods like quilts, knitting projects, and embroidery into the Traditions of the Making exhibit for a chance to win ribbons. This Grapevine fall festival is an opportunity to connect with the agricultural heritage of the Grapevine Prairie.
Be there as Grapevine Botanical Gardens brings the sunset to life with live music from your favorite genres at Sunset Live!, October 4th and 5th. There will be fun for the whole family, including an artisan market, food and drink, Kidz Zone, and more. For the 21 and up crowd, Sunset Live! features a VIP Speakeasy Experience, with early access to the gardens, a grazing table, free drink tickets and more.
Another annual Grapevine fall event, Butterfly Flutterby is a celebration of the Monarch butterfly’s migration from Canada to Mexico by way of Grapevine, Texas. Join the Grapevine Botanical Gardens for live butterfly releases, the Butterflies Around the World exhibit, butterfly photo ops, and more, October 18th at Heritage Park.
Celebrate Halloween in Grapevine with a trip back in time on Vintage Railroad’s Trick ‘R Treat Trains. Take the kids roundtrip from Historic Cotton Belt Depot District, watch an interactive story brought to life by the Grapevine Vintage Railroad Theatrical Players, and get to enjoy a bag of treats. Costumes encouraged for kids and adults!
What better place to ring in the 2025 holiday season than Grapevine, the Christmas Capital of Texas? Kick off the holidays at the 37th Annual Carol of Lights, November 24th in Historic Downtown Grapevine. In addition to exploring Historic Main Street, visitors can enjoy performances on multiple stages, holiday bounce houses, and other family-friendly entertainment.
Get your grub on November 8th at the 2025 Dallas Food Fest!
