Our third permanent exhibition will include a cafe, retail space, and an interactive live events venue!
Set your anticipation levels to (at least) one Mile High! Meow Wolf Denver is officially opening in Fall 2021 with a brand new experience, otherworlds-ly art, and plenty of opportunities to get lost through portals and wormholes. Inside, you’ll discover dozens of converged worlds created by hundreds of collaborating artists, including 110 Colorado-based artists, as well as multiple large anchor spaces showcasing 79 projects.
The stand-alone building — look for the big “sleepy pizza” — will house 4 floors of interactive exhibits interconnected through vertical travel and secret passageways. In addition to our signature out-of-this-world immersive experience, Meow Wolf Denver will feature unique food offerings, a retail space, and a 450+ person live performance venue created in partnership with interactive technology and projection masters.
To create this mind-blowing live performance venue experience within our exhibition, we worked together with creative industry leaders, including Moment Factory, who are known for projection mapping and interactive technology.
“Moment Factory collaborated with Meow Wolf to create an interactive experience that transforms the venue into an immersive space of discovery where guests can explore and influence the art around them,” says Alexandre Lupien, Creative Director at Moment Factory.
By day, our live performance venue is a place to interact with imagery, where projections change in real-time based on your movements. You’ll also experience the mural created by artist Nate Gutierrez and hear a score composed by Cole Bee Wilson. At night, the space transforms into a venue for concerts and events, similar to the performance space at Meow Wolf Santa Fe’s House of Eternal Return.
In addition to the venue, you can look forward to dining at Meow Wolf Cafe, a fast-casual cafe that has both grab-and-go and dine-in offerings! Inspired by the eclectic offerings of Denver cuisine, Meow Wolf Cafe will partner with local food and beverage entrepreneurs who share our values of inclusivity and the convergence of cultures.
Before (reluctantly) returning to the real world, you’ll have a chance to explore our gift shop. Spanning over 2,000 square feet and offering over 1,500 unique items, these carefully curated keepsakes will allow you to take home a piece of your experience. Items range from T-shirts to one-of-a-kind pieces of art from local Denver artists and beyond.
“Our most ambitious project to date, the Denver exhibition is bound to bend minds, inspire creativity, and touch hearts when we open our doors this fall,” said Todd Richins, Executive Creative Producer at Meow Wolf. “From our partnership with artists and collaborators on the venue, to the retail and food spaces within our walls, Meow Wolf Denver is a one-stop immersive and imaginative art experience for the ages.”
The Denver opening will be our second of 2021, joining Meow Wolf Las Vegas’ Omega Mart, which has sold out every day since opening in February! In addition, we re-opened our original experience, House of Eternal Return, in March, which has also been selling out at a limited capacity. So basically, you’re going to want to be ready when Denver tickets go on sale.
