Meow Wolf’s Guide to Hotels in Denver

Get Lost in the Converged Worlds of Meow Wolf Denver by Day, Slumber in Earthbound Luxury By Night in Denver, CO.

Everyone knows that quantum travel can be tiring, exponentially aging, and resulting in the irksome but occasional phasing out of reality. While Denver’s Quantum Department of Transportation (QDOT) cannot guarantee safe passage of all metaphysical parts, memories, or matter while traveling to the converged worlds, the official transit organization of the multiverse recognizes that the perfect Denver hotel accommodation has the potential to combat interdimensional travel fatigue, rejuvenate human ages to “youthful” settings, and remedy an overall depletion of Earthly delights.

If you’re planning a trip to Meow Wolf Denver’s Convergence Station, the following is a list of hotel accommodations where quantum travelers may discover the missing piece of the ultimate immersive art and travel experience: a home away from home! In addition to providing necessary recovery comforts, these unique hotels showcase elements of the art, whimsy, adventure, awe, and discovery for which Meow Wolf is known.

***Earthers, take note: When booking Meow Wolf hotel packages, tickets to Convergence Station are not included, and must be purchased separately HERE. Reservations are highly recommended at all establishments within the hotels, as they’re incredibly popular destinations in the exciting transit hub of Denver, Colorado.

The ART Hotel is where luxury meets ingenuity; it feels like an elevated slumber party in an art museum. Fine art adorns the walls, design elements, architecture, and the upscale interior. You’ll be tempted to explore different floors simply to browse the art—and the good news is that this is encouraged, as accompanying programs are available at the front desk.

FIRE Restaurant and Lounge serves American cuisine in eclectic and novel combinations. It features a terrace on the 4th floor that is open to guests year round, so they can enjoy sunny afternoon drinks or glittering city views around the fire pit. For a flashy show of a cocktail, try the Smoked Manhattan or the signature Meow Wolf cocktail: The Wolf Trance. With gin and lemon flavors, it changes from purple to pink before your eyes. The Denver Art Museum is right next door, and the center of the Denver DIY underground music scene, South Broadway, is in close proximity.

The ART Hotel Meow Wolf Package includes:

  • ARTfully designed accommodations in Denver’s #1 Hotel
  • Two complimentary Wolf Trance cocktails from FIRE Restaurant & Lounge
  • Complimentary transportation between Meow Wolf Denver and the ART Hotel via their courtesy vehicle or complimentary UBER (based on availability)
  • Complimentary in-room surprise amenity: Galactic Goober Globs! These sinful chocolate treats are made from pure chocolate ganache and topped with star dust.

HALCYON HOTEL: DREAMY NOSTALGIA IN CHERRY CREEK

245 Columbine St, Denver, CO 80206 • (720) 772-5000 • halcyonhotelcherrycreek.com

exterior view of the Halcyon Hotel and its outdoor patio of the restaurant

Halcyon Hotel is inspired by the mythical bird of the same name that was said to calm turbulent seas, a symbol for happiness, tranquility, and carefreeness. The hotel features design that is light, sophisticated, and dreamy, and the experiences here are as numerous as they are compelling.

Guests receive complimentary wine or espresso upon arrival. The common spaces are so comfortable that you see people actually sitting and reading—no empty hotel lobbies with bland art here! The rooms feature record players with totally excellent musical taste (think the Talking Heads’ Stop Making Sense on vinyl), plus really cool, arty coffee table books.

Foodies can savor a 4-course meal while nestled in a rooftop cabana at Après in the Clouds, blankets, and fireplaces warming their hands while a local guitarist plays. Challenge your travel companion to curling, or soak in the swimming pool. Halcyon’s in-house restaurant, Local Jones, is cozy and approachable, and perfectly situated to gaze at passers-by prancing past with their shopping bags and elegant fashion from Denver’s upscale shopping district, Cherry Creek. Special passes can be purchased, like a wellness passport for yoga, day passes to the Denver Botanic Gardens, access to their gear garage full of outdoor equipment, and more.

Perhaps the most experiential offering of the Halcyon experience is the clandestine decadence of the B&GC. Upon securing reservations and finding a mysterious golden doorbell, adventurous cocktail aficionados are led on an adventure through a labyrinthine series of tunnels, eventually leading to a magnificent and glowing speakeasy of a different era. “Born of the glory and prosperity of the decades following WWII in America, and America’s greatest generation,” reads the website, “B&GC is a celebration of the type of cocktailing and revelry often reserved for the elite, wealthy and powerful.” Cocktails are unadulterated masterpieces here, and mixologists are easy to talk to, will curate special drinks for you, and are performance artists in their own right. This speakeasy of yesteryear provides the time traveling convivial atmosphere typically only seen in old Hollywood movies.

Halcyon Hotel’s Out of this World Meow Wolf package includes:

  • 10% off their best available rates
  • Complimentary transportation to and from the exhibition in the house Range Rover
  • Two (2) welcome “Blur the Lines” cocktails in Local Jones, which feature faux ice cubes that cause the drink to glow different colors
  • A welcome sweet treat with pop rocks
  • A pair of LED party glasses
  • Wake up with CBD pour-over coffee from the Kitchen Counter

THE MAVEN: HIP AND SWINGING MECCA OF ACTIVITY AND ART IN THE DAIRY BLOCK

1850 Wazee St, Denver, CO 80202 (anchoring the Dairy Block) • (720) 460-2727 • themavenhotel.com

white room with fun rugs and a mural on the back wall of a woman wearing a bright floral dress

A maven is an expert or connoisseur, but not in a stuffy way; mavens are innovative, youthful, and vibrant. The art at The Maven is playful, from the neon signs to the elevators that are lined with leather belts to the swings in the elevator lobbies and rooms. The hotel rooms are edgy and urban: think exposed concrete walls, unexpected layouts, and bathroom mirrors that are perfectly lit for selfies.

The Maven is nestled within the micro district of the Dairy Block—it’s like a mall, but with food halls, bakeries, markets, pasta shops, cocktail bars, and restaurants packed with locals. Not only does The Maven reward their guests with free coffee at Huckleberry Roasters in the morning and a free drink at Happy Hour (4pm-7pm) at the front desk (doled out from a cute Airstream), guests also receive discounts and deals on an array of experiences throughout the Dairy Block. It’s almost hard to know where to start; much like Convergence Station, there is so much to explore.

A few highlights: For[a]ged is really fun and almost feels more like a nightclub than a sushi restaurant, in a good way—and the sushi is incredible. Poka Lola Social Club is a cocktail bar that nods to old school soda fountains with its mint green and black and white splendor. But the most impressive thing for art lovers staying at The Maven is that they can explore over 750 original art pieces created by emerging and established Colorado artists, including Andrew Ramiro Tirado, Mario Zoots, Molly Bounds, and Diego Rodriguez-Warner.

The Maven Meow Wolf hotel package includes:

  • Overnight accommodation at The Maven
  • Transportation to and from Meow Wolf Denver
  • Two Meow Wolf QPASS cards to collect and unlock Memories of the Convergence. This will take you on a deeper journey to uncover the mysteries of the four worlds.
  • A wooden coin to hand to a resident in any of the worlds within Convergence Stations to enjoy a surprise and delight experience
  • Two Meow Wolf cocktails from Poka Lola Social Club

Springhill Suites, Courtesy of the Springhill Suites Denver Downtown

Springhill Suites feel like a downtown Marriott, but with a cool college twist; that’s because they are owned by Metropolitan State University of Denver. You can stay in their sleek rooms with vast views of historic Denver and know that your money is going towards higher education. This urban hotel is located super close to the Ball Arena as well. A large portion of Meow Wolf artists stayed at Springhill Suites while they were building Convergence Station, so you can nerd out on sleeping where they slept, or eating the same free hot breakfast buffet.

Springhill Suites’ in-house restaurant, Degree Metropolitan Food + Drink, is like a sandbox for culinary arts students to work and learn about the hospitality industry. However, don’t think this is school-level cuisine; it features a globally-inspired menu, thoughtfully sourced featuring local Colorado meats, ethically-caught seafood, and produce from within 90 miles. Springhill Suites features 120 curated art pieces that were created by people with connections to MSU—students, faculty, alumni—and they’re devoted to supporting all things local. Not to mention that it’s within walking distance of Convergence Station, so cosmic unknown worlds are just a short hike away.

Springhill Suites’ Meow Wolf package includes:

  • A QPASS to be used to explore Convergence Station as well as a token that can be taken into the exhibition and given to one of our in-world residents for a special interaction
  • Signature cocktail — either cucumber or coconut vodka with a special twist that makes it look like a twilight/sunset in a martini glass (blues and purples and pinks), light and refreshing
