The holiday season is a different beast than our usual day-to-day at House of Eternal Return. We’d like to highlight December Events and Holiday Hours at the exhibition so you can plan the best winter getaway in Santa Fe.
In most cases House of Eternal Return would be closed Tuesday, but we want to see you and your families through the holiday season so we’ll be open Tuesday, December 26 and Tuesday, January 2! These two extra days on our schedule are for folks and their families to plan a visit to Meow Wolf that works for them. We hope to see you here! House of Eternal Return will also be open New Year’s Day.
House of Eternal Return will be closed Christmas Day, Monday, December 25. We’ll also be closing early at 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Meow Wolf will be hosting its famous New Year’s Eve party at the Shellaberger Tennis Center. Tickets for Meow Wolf's Sublunar NYE Party feat. Worthy are on sale now. We can’t encourage you enough to get tickets as soon as possible. In previous years our New Year’s Eve party was sold out before tickets at the door could be made available, so don’t get left out!
This year we welcome Worthy alongside a range of other DJs. Our New Year’s Eve will feature never-seen-before installations and continuous dance vibes!
Saturday, December 9 Electrovibe is celebrating their 15th Anniversary with the Silver & Gold Masquerade Ball. Music will be provided by Lea Luna. Dress to the nines and don’t forget your masquerade mask! This will be a night of dance, mystery and charity. Please bring gently worn winter clothing, blankets, jackets or unwrapped children’s toys as donations for St. Elizabeth Shelters.
Perpetual Motion Dance will perform as part of an ongoing series December 13 - December 18 in Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return. Performances last all day, from 10AM until 8PM. From the group:
Perpetual Motion Dance is breaking loose in Meow Wolf’s House of Eternal Return on December 13th-18th, 2017. Find us as primordial creatures, jellyfish, space/time travel agents and children trapped between dimensions as we wander through the 20,000 square foot installation. Surprise performance vignettes will occur through the space both on the ground and in the air.
We’ve got a handful of shows in December for dance fiends to warm up to.
Friday December 1 we welcome Giraffage brings his unique style of electro-pop to the House of Eternal Return stage. Giraffage is supported by Sweater Beats and Wingtip. Then Monday, December 11 The Drums take the stage with their one-of-a-kind immersive musical sound. On Friday, December 15 Prayers, supported by GO DARK and VOWWS, brings a darker sound in time for the winter solstice. From the Prayers:
With gritty lyrics exposing the harsh realities of gang and street life coupled with love and loss over throbbing beats and swirling synthesizers, electronic duo PRAYERS brings an authentic urban feel to Goth music, a mix of genres that crosses cultural and societal boundaries and breaks stereotypes.
Saturday, December 16 Meow Wolf presents its last Dance Monster dance party of the year. Soul Clap will be an essential warm-up for your New Year’s Eve, so get in your dance practice before the final dance-around of the year!
Finally, December 22 Meow Wolf presents Sounds Like Primal. The night will feature a host of DJs and an Ugly Sweater Contest with a $200 prize! So dress to distress and win!
