I bet you knew this one would make the list. It really is one of the best things to do with the family in Santa Fe! Your family can spend hours exploring the 20,000-square foot interactive exhibit before getting in on some of the family-friendly events in the David Loughridge Learning Center, like “Toddler Tales” or a slime making workshop.

So the family has been tromping all over town and now everyone’s hot, sweaty, and crabby? Need to cool off with a dip in a pool, or maybe even a trip around an ice skating rink? No worries, fam! We got you.

There is so much history in Santa Fe, and what better way to experience it than a living history farm that dates back to the 1700s! Check the website for special events and festivals, or go during the week to explore on your own.

The Great Outdoors

Sometimes you just need to stretch your legs and commune with mother nature. The Borrego Trail is a favorite among locals for its creeks and wildflowers and is a good challenge for the kiddos without being something they can’t handle.

La Lecheria

Treat yourself! La Lecheria is a local ice-cream parlor that makes natural, small-batch ice cream right here in Santa Fe. They have something for everyone with classics like Chocolate and Vanilla, or you can try their seasonal offerings like Avocado, Habanero Vanilla, Sweet Corn, and Cracker Jack!
