If you asked Programming Director Melanie Beck to describe Chimera in an elevator pitch she might say something like "it's art for kids of all ages." But in actuality Meow Wolf's Chimera program, located inside the David Loughridge Learning Center at the art complex, is a space that serves many different functions.

From January 17th to January 31st, Meow Wolf will be closed to the public while the team installs brand new rooms, experiences, sculptures, and also unveils a new portal from the house into the multiverse!

Right now a famous museum is closed for restoration, but on Saturday, Nov. 25th the New Mexico Museum of Art will reopen in a grand way.

This Saturday, the East Austin Studio Tour heads into its second weekend. From November 11th– 12th & 18th - 19th the event, curated and hosted by Big Medium, an Austin based non-profit for the contemporary arts, boasts a roster of 505 artists with events, releases and parties happening all over the city.

The Moving Membranes audience will see characters come to life with live painting, as well as have the opportunity to interact with the performers and take photos around the exhibit. The whole thing ends in a grand dance finale in the venue.

Meow Wolf will be partnering with Elitch Gardens Theme Water Park, our new neighbor near Meow Wolf Denver, to bring an innovative, alluring and sensational new art ride to Denver in April 2019.
